During the three summer months, the group meets for breakfast and fellowship at Café Sophie in the Gaithersburg Airpark. Each person pays for his or her own breakfast.
CWF, the most colorful and exuberant group at GPC, frequently assists in leading worship. Originally composed of members from Cameroon, the group is now open to all women in the church. Join them each Sunday after the 11:00 a.m. worship service for study, fellowship, and singing. You will be blessed!
Join the VIPS for lunch and a program the first Thursday of the month. Gathering begins at 11:30, with the program starting at noon. Field trips to local areas of interest are offered from time to time, in addition to their monthly meetings.
Other than Sunday morning worship, VIPS meetings are the largest and most welcoming gatherings in the church. VIPS excel in maintaining contact with and caring for one another, are creative in the variety of programs and outings offered, and enjoy a “favorite people” status with members of the Youth Group. The VIPS are also the most outreach-oriented and service-minded group in the church, second only to the Community Engagement ministry, making consistent, generous donations to the various missions of GPC.
VIPS meetings are back! Following our August break, the VIPS group will meet on Thursday, September 3, in Lindsay Hall. You are invited to bring your own lunch or join in the shared lunch, which will be ham & cheese and turkey & cheese sliders with sides and chips. Dessert will be served to all.
The September speaker is MD State Senator Nancy King, who will speak about her and her family's relationship with GPC as well as the 250th anniversary of Montgomery County and MD. She will also share insights on the workings of the Maryland State Legislature.
Please contact Nancy Sanders with any questions.
