Serving Opportunities
As the weather turns cold, help us make sure no one in our community goes without a warm coat! Donate new winter coats and accessories in all sizes. Coats will be distributed to students at Rosemont and Summit Hall Elementary Schools and to adults through our partnership with KindWorks.

You may also give a financial gift online or via check, designating the Coat Drive!

Donation Deadline: November 1
Drop Off Location:
Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church
North Entrance – Mondays through Thursdays, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
North & South Entrances – Sundays 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Each week, GPC volunteers pick up food donations from Safeway at Falls Grove and deliver them to St. Martin’s Food Pantry on Summit Ave. and Rt. 355. The donations are non-expired excess products — baked goods, deli items, and produce — collected from the store’s receiving dock and delivered that same morning.

Pick-ups take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 10:00 am and take about an hour. We work in pairs, and the lead volunteer gives the receiving dock a quick call around 9:00 am to let them know we’re on our way. Most items arrive already boxed, and we bring a few banana boxes along for loose items.

MINISTRY MESSAGES

Take what you need, give what you can.

If you would prefer to make a monetary donation, you can give online. Please designate Little Free Pantry in the memo.

A special thank you to our community partner, Manna Food Center, who donated the pantry.

Little Free Pantry

The Pantry is a well-used and much-appreciated ministry to our neighbors in need. Although it is stocked daily, it is often quickly emptied. You can support this ministry by donating food (this week’s suggested food item is canned veggies and fruit), giving financially, or volunteering to help with daily refills. Financial gifts allow volunteers to shop for specific needs as they arise. Please prayerfully consider supporting this important ministry.

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

Please bring your completed Estimate of Giving Card to church and place it in the offering plate or mail the card to GPC in the envelope provided.  It is important for the church accountant to receive these estimates in October so Session can plan the 2027 budget.  Thanks for responding promptly.
