The annual GPC Souper Supper will be held virtually on Zoom on Sunday, February 6.
We love soup not only for the satisfaction it gives us but just as much for the people with whom we share it. Soup is good for the soul!
We collected soup, stew, and chili recipes from our members which can be found here on the blog and in the weekly Friday e-blasts. There will be three recipes shared each week. Here is the first week of recipes:
Serving Opportunity
CAN YOU MAKE A BIG BATCH OF SOUP TO SHARE?
Make Souper Sunday into an occasion of giving: share with a friend, neighbor or a family in need!
Do you miss making a BIG batch of soup to share with your community on Souper Sunday? You can still share your favorite soup with others this year, and help to feed our neighbors who are food insecure at the same time! We invite you to add your efforts to those of KindWorks’ “KindSoup for the Soul” project.
Make extra, freeze it, and bring to one of these locations at the bottom of this page:
If you do share with a neighbor, friend or a listed community partner,
please let KindWorks know by reporting here (it’s quick and easy!):
Every week, KindWorks volunteers Zoom together and cook soup in their own kitchen to feed their families AND share the batch with one of several food assistance providers helping out local families. You are welcome to Zoom with KindWorks on Saturday, January 23 or 30 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. and follow along with their recipe, OR simply make your own at any time before Souper Sunday.
